Hello.
This might seem like a slightly odd question but I hope a 3 door owner can answer. I've just come from a 3 door mk5 and the driver's sun visor had a telescopic arm so that when it was folded against the door it could be pulled rearwards to cover pretty much the entire window up to the door pillar. The mk7 5 door has a non extending visor so if you have your seat all the way back there's a large gap between the end of the visor and the pillar, making the visor useless!
So if you have a 3 door mk7 I'd be interested to know if the visor still has the extending arm?
thanks
John

Not on mine. GTD 3-door.

Nope, the MK7 doesn't have it. Cost cutting?

MK6 didnt have it either

Thanks for replies guys, was hoping 3 door would have it so I could order one. Will have to bodge something instead! Yes cost cutting likely cause, same as bottle opener & exclusive GTI owners manual...

Don't remember that feature on either of my 2 MK5s (2005(55) 140TDI GT and 2007 (57) 170TDI GT Sport).

My brother had a mk4 many moons ago and one of best features i've seen on any car was a tiny sun visor behind the rear view mirror!

I'd forgotten about the 3rd sun visor on the mk4. Agree Jimble, it was a really useful feature.
