Title: Steering slight play
Post by: 1.8Tgolf_Chris on 14 May 2014, 14:11
When sitting stationary and the engine on, if i 'wiggle' the steering wheel back an forth only a few cm's i can hear a slight knock from both ways, not really sure what to check and how to check it!
also does it with the engine off but then it sounds like its more inside the car rather than out

Ive had a knock coming from the passenger side when driving but it seems to be happening intermittent
Just changed the wishbones and balljoints, ive got some ajustable drop links to fit but i wasnt going to put them on until i do the
coilovers, and if i do fit them should i extend them to fit as the same size or just leave them shortest possible

Just trying to fix all the knocks before i fit the coilys

My guess would be bushes

I'm assuming the new wishbones included new bushes.

My money would also be on tie rods.
