I have a stock exhaust system and im going to fit a tdi center section as the mid silencer is cracked and blowing, what are these exhausts like taking them apart previous cars they just slide out piece of cake
Or will these need alot of graft? bare in mind ill be on my stoney drive which is on a slight hill so its harsh to work on

I dislike jacking a car up on stones or a slope so both together is a big no-no for me, especially if you're working underneath.
The exhaust is one piece from the cat-back so the old one will need cutting off.

This x1000. Getting crushed by 1250kg of Wolfsburg's finest would be no fun at all.

if its one section how would one fit it back on say for example come MOT time if you have an aftermarket exhaust/decat?
(Sorry to hijack thread)

Do you mean for emissions? The downpipe/cat is one section so you'd just swap your standard downpipe and cat back on.
