Trying to get the reducer on the s2000 filter.
Its literally the same size and wont go on.
Get one side on and it pops off when the other is forced on.
How the hell do I do this?
Thanks

What size reducer did you buy?
-
80-70mm.
Did buy an 83-70 but it got sent back to china at import lol.
Or so they say.

Normally a bit of washing up liquid helps with tight rubber or silicone parts.
I'm not sure its a good idea here though, just in case you get Fairy Liquid on your MAF.
-
Get the lube out... You know you have some haha
-
If you heat it then it will stretch
-
Its not near the car yet.. Just gonna put the reducer on thefilter then fit the other end.
No chance doing when on car.
So try heating it up, stretch it while applying lube and or washing up liquid.
Seems crazy enough to work.
-
Try softening it up by leaving it in a bowl of boiling water.

Finally done it.
Nothing some cola bottle hand wash and some rubbing along the rim didnt sort out

I always find the smallest amount of WD40 on your finger and then wiping it around the lips is enough

Neighbours probably thought so too with the banging about, swearing and screaming I was doing trying to get the thing on haha
Not to mention when I finally got it on the celebratory cheer probably didnt help
