Title: mk2 16v gti cuts out when i rev

Hi, ive had problems with my fuel pump ive had to hard wire it to start the car as the wiring dont exist but after getting the engine going it only idles as soon as i touch the gas it cuts out, guessing a delivery problem? can anyone help please?
