Title: N80 Valve
Post by: MoshiMoshi on 06 May 2014, 19:54
Hi,

Could a faulty N80 valve on the carbon canister cause a smell of fuel vapor at idle (after a drive).

I used to hear the valve ticking away, but I never hear it anymore and I suspect its not opening or closing. Is the valve likely to be the problem? Or could it be a split pipe causing a vacuum loss? I assumed as the ECU controlled the valve that it would open and close with no need for vacuum.

Thanks!

EDIT: Is the valve on top of the carbon canister actually the n80?
