Post by: Cambo44 on 05 May 2014, 21:54
Hi I hope someone can help,

I drive a mk5 golf gti and it has electrical power steering,

Everytime i turn my wheel left to right i hear this 'clunking' 'knocking' noise

It's not very load but very annoying ?

Does anyone have an idea what this is??

Thank you in advance

Pretty sure this is CV joints gone mate. Very common signs are clicking noises when turning the wheel.

Did you replace both sides, and did you use all of the provided grease in the kit?

Perhaps it's suspension or steering gear then... :(

You know how to check the suspension?
