Hi guys,
I'm sure many of you hate a shiny steering wheel, gives the look of age and mileage on the car.
Been looking for an inexpensive way to clean steering's for a while, came across this magic eraser, these are for bathrooms etc, I couldn't wait so I got a flash magic eraser from tesco, I had to wash the detergents out first as they do contain bleach so after 10-15 mins washing I got to work, this car has 69k on the clock and was pretty dirty I think not the worst I've seen though.
These are some before and after pics! enjoy

as you can see not pleasant.
A few light passes while wet (they work only with water) it came out looking like this

Then after a few times going over I got to this!

Much better!
Be careful with these guys, I've read that they can remove the dye on leather if used harshly, they are not designed for leather, do so at your own risk as retrims are expensive!

Cool! I'll give it a go. You can see your face in mine its so shiny.
-
I would order some of the cheapo ones off ebay as they seem less harsh than the purpose built kitchen and bathroom flash ones!
-
Nice cheers! I was looking on Amazon but will give the ones on eBay a go.

Could've just used some apc and a cloth like you may or may not use on the rest of your interior.
I find one of the hardest things to remove from interiors is "make up" Most of the time its waterproof sh1t and its all over the car - drivers door handles, heater controls, hand brake, radio etc... But still, apc and a good scrub gets rid.
-
Oh and i forgot the point.. The steering wheel is the most covered in sh1t but apc and a clean cloth will solve the problem.
-
what sort of APC cleaner do you use?
isn't using chemicals on the steering leather not ideal because of leather dye etc?
