Title: fans dont cut in
Post by: Matt1.8T on 05 September 2005, 13:36
they fans do work as when you turn the A/C on they work fine but when i turn A/C off and leav it long enough on idle the temp gauge goes upto 120 degrees

could it be the thermostat or summat like that as it was replace dlast year, also the fuses are ok and there is also a big relay connectd to it underneath the battery, could this have summat to do with it

had the water pump change last year,

wel i was fiddling around earlier, drained the water down to have a peek at the thermostat on rad and then fill it back up again also i attached back the relay box that lives underneath the battery, filled coolant back up left it to run for 10 minutes and went to 100deg then my bro leaned into the engine bay and knelt on the bumper and the fans came on full blast

must of been a loose connection or summat or an airlock arounf the thermostat
