Title: Mk4 Golf GTI Interor Trim Change
Post by: James Thomas on 02 May 2014, 22:55
Hi guys,
Im new to the forum. I have had a mark 4 golf GTI for nearly a year now and am looking at making a few small changes to it, but im just looking for some help on how to go about it. I want to change all the interior trim from walnut to gloss black. is it easy enough to do yourself? and where is the best place to buy the trim from? or would it be more cost effective to have the trim I have sprayed or wrapped? any help will be appreciated!
On another note I am also looking at changing my stereo and disc changer for a double din screen (sat nav/ radio/ dvd ect) and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which screen is best? would that be something I could do myself?
Thanks a lot
James

Try the search bar mate hundreds of threads regarding trim some people spray some people use vinyl wrap its personal choice or others opt for the more expensive brushed aluminium  trim from an R32/ Anni

As for the double din again personal choice of hwta you want ie usb, Parrott Dvd sat nav... I have a pioneer Nav 1 and like it has 2 usb ports front and rear and built in Parrott for calls etc was around £500 when I bought it for guides on how to install try youtube etc its a piece of piss

As per the pic in your other thread the lower spec diesels and 1.4/1.6 have matt black trim but the headunit side trims are part of the cage whereas the GTI has removable side trims. You're best off wrapping or spraying what you've got
