Title: AGU ECU swap.
Post by: markymarkg on 30 April 2014, 17:55
Got my hands on a supposed mapped ECU for my AGU 1.8t.

I know it will plug in fine but what would i need to do so the engine would run with this unit.

Cheers.

get the immobiliser turned off on the ecu or have your key coded to it

I had one of those. It's literally just plug and play as long as you got one with the immobiliser turned off.

Doesnt that leave the car far less secure with it turned off?

you don't even need the immo turned off to swap them over on the AGU
