Hey up fellas,
Thought I would get some more use out of my VAG-COM last night. Decided to pop out and do some quick 3rd gear pulls, unfortunately I couldn't get a clean pull to the redline before it started to rain, but this graph gives a good idea what its requesting and what im getting, or in this case what im not getting...
DV and all pipes are fine. PCV valve was changed about 2 months ago. BHP was fine when on the roller @276Bhp
Floored it at around 3100 RPM in the graph below
Its a MK6 GTI Revo Stage1 - Is it down to an OEM HPFP why its not making specified amount? Any opinion welcome
Thanks

There can be a lot of reasons why a car doesn't make its requested boost pressure. The standard turbos fitted to the mk6 GTI don't seem to be very good though to be honest.

I know Revo like to make aggressive maps, but to request way more than the HPFP or turbo and make would be a bit silly, they spent hours perfecting the map so not sure what actually going on here.
Sent an email to Stattlers Tuners to see if they have an idea.

I am interested to see what the diagnosis on this is. I was under the impression that the mk6 gti turbo is a much better unit to the old Borg Warner units on the MK5 platform...

Well its not the HPFP, Steve at Stattlers said they are good for 500 bhp, so must be a boost leak somewhere or N75 valve.
I have replace DV and PCV recently. It could be a dodgy DV or Intercooler seals. Going in next week for a quick look on the lifts.

Hi there,
Sorry if this is thread resurrection but I see there's never been an update to this post.
My car (MK6 GTI DSG - Revo stage 2) has the exact same boost curve as yours. Making the requested boost only briefly and then dropping off almost immediately after.
I've checked everything. My MAF, Discharge Pipe, Throttle Body Pipe, DV, the works. I am sure that this is not a boost leak.
However, I've got it narrowed down to a faulty N75 and/or actuator.
Did you ever get your car sorted out eventually? If so, what was the issue?

Replaced the two O-Rings either side of the inter-cooler. Did feel better, but i havent done any boost logging runs since.
The car drives fine and i wouldnt have know any better if i didnt log it....Might have to go out tonight and log some more now you have refreshed my mind / this topic

I would be interested .......
