I have a problem with my obd port it won't read any scanners it comes back not found and I've noticed when I switch my ignition on there is no management light I've checked all my fuses the port powers up the scanner just won't read it any ideas thanks

Do you have an after market head unit?
-
I think I've read somewhere that the engine management light is disabled / will only come in if it's a severe breakage.
And what kind of old scanner are you trying? Because the older agu engines have an ecu that don't connect to some obd scanners (such as the bluetooth obd2 scanner)

1. All AGUs are readable by OBD port.
2. AGUs don't have an engine management light - maybe what you're thinking of?
My money is on the K-line in the wiring harness being used by an after-market head unit, therefore stopping the reading from communicating with the ecu.

Thanks, so can't I just disconnect the head unit then

Have a good read through this:

It should answer your questions.

No, you need to pull the pin from the wiring harness that is connected to the k-line.

1. Yeah, i know, but i meant that some tools wont work, like the bluetooth obd2 scanner. - well atleast it doesn't work on mine haha
2. and yeah, i knew i heard something along those lines.

It's to do with the type of OBD used on AGUs; it's the early type so no it's not compatible with bluetooth units
