Hi
I hope you are all well?
My 8V has blown up and I need to replace the engine, i'm shopping around on eBay atm.. and have QUESTIONS! :)
Can somebody please advise me whether a 2.0 8v from a MK3 is a straight fit onto a MK2 8V subframe/box? Also, will I need to make any modifications in order for it to fit properly.
I've seen this:

Thanks i advance

I know a mk3 2e 2.0l bottom end is a straight swap regarding engine mountings. I have that setup in my mk2, with the mk2 8v head. Advantage to this is it literally plug and play. If you have a search I'm sure you'll find what your looking for, there's plenty of threads on here to look at!!

Management and head is lots different. Get your head checked out and if it's OK get a 2.0 bottom end and fit your head to it.
