Title: Colour coded bumper insert
Post by: seanule on 22 April 2014, 15:39
Whats your thoughts of this mod? Cars a candy white and i think the grey coloured insert looks out of place, seen Pryda's golf on here and thats the look im going for!

Can these be bought unpainted or as spares from somewhere? its hard to even find out exactly what the parts called, so it can be returned to stock for selling cheers

Do it, it looks great especially on a CW or TR car.  Pryda's looked   Not sure if his was the original just painted or not.  I know he no longer has his but you could always pm him and ask.

He had them painted a few weeks after getting it i think. looked very good on CW. No need for my CSG.

I'm doing this to mine when I eventually have the bumper re-sprayed. It's part of the bumper so in theory you may be able to to get the part separately. If you look at bumpers on ebay it comes in about 3 or 4 bits and this is one of them so it may also just be part of a kit.

To access it you need to remove the whole bumper and un clips but when it's done you can just clip it back on from the front apparently thus you can still have your car whilst it's at the shop.

Yeah might just go for it then and worry about changing it when I go to sell it, can easily be sprayed back to grey or black anyways!

I was gonna try email vw and ask for a part number but explaining what section of the bumper I mean is a nightmare haha!
