I've noticed that if I have the radio on quite loud and a satnav announcement come on, if I try to turn the radio volume down to listen to the satnav this doesn't help as the volume control turns down the volume on both the radio and satnav at the same time rather than just the radio so I still can't hear it. Am I missing something or just being stupid ?

Go to Nav, go to settings, you can adjust your nav announcement volume there and it should correct it, and stay at the volume you want, regardless of radio volume

Ok thanks but I've tried that and noticed that if I turn the volume down whilst the nav is speaking, this actually changes the nav announcement volume in the settings. This only happens whilst the nav is speaking. You can check this by going back into settings and having a look. Maybe if you get chance you could test this in yours and see if it does the same ? Cheers

If you turn the volume while something is happening i.e. nav directions, traffic announcement then you are actually changing that volumes pre set.
Is there not a button on the steering wheel to repeat the last nav instruction? If so press that then turn the volume up while its speaking.
Its the way most VAG radios are set up.

If you press the right hand button the last sat nav direction is repeated.
Whilst that is repeating adjust the left hand (volume) button to what you want.
The radio volume is not changed but the announcement one is.

OK many thanks for the info
