Looks like a comic version of a scirocco

Interesting enough though, the concept of it. I daresay there will be a lot of 'R's sitting around 400hp pretty soon!

What is interesting to me are the possibilities for us. Carbon bodypanels mean that for us 7 owners there may be the possibility we could buy them off the shelf.

Also, engine parts. If they use the same engine block and gearbox/clutch could we buy the updated parts as genuine VW parts and increase the power with parts VW deem safe?  There are rumours that VW are going to be releasing a series of aftermarket parts for the R.

They should do.

Let's face it, it's only enthusiasts (or at least 95%+ enthusiasts) who will be buying the R, so the market is definitely there for it.

I wouldn't mind buying a carbon bonnet and tailgate for mine (if they are some of the carbon panels).  Sprayed of course.

Actually, I would quite like to replace all the polished black in the bumpers with carbon fibre!

I'm also seriously considering getting a tuning box for the R aswell.
