As per title, is anyone running this kit:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Golf-MK4-1-8-T-1999-Onwards-RAMAIR-Induction-Filter-Kit-/350631513299?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+IV%7CModel%3AGolf&hash=item51a3444cd3 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Golf-MK4-1-8-T-1999-Onwards-RAMAIR-Induction-Filter-Kit-/350631513299?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+IV%7CModel%3AGolf&hash=item51a3444cd3)
If so, any feedback?
My S2000 filter was disgustingly dirty and after speaking to Matt@OCD his supplier has discontinued the red/black filters so I'm looking for a foam replacement.
-
Niño had a huge ramair filter on his. Maybe drop him a pm dude.
-
Have ECP stopped selling them now? That's where I got my red and black one from

They do stock them but only the green/cream ones now
-
At the end of the day it's hidden in the bay, I've messed with so many different types of filters I'm happy with the S2000 one now as it seems to give the best gains for me
-
My other half picked one up from ECP a couple of weeks ago but it was cream and red  but he just tapped it up and sprayed the cream bits black  sorted

Well I've just stumbled across this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-Air-Filter-Element-E-2435-for-Honda-S2000-/300650046794?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3AS2000&hash=item460023a54a (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-Air-Filter-Element-E-2435-for-Honda-S2000-/300650046794?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3AS2000&hash=item460023a54a)
In theory this should flow even better than the standard filter and is washable

Mine is massive, I personally rang Ramair and spoke to Ryan, he was extremely helpful and all in all it cost me £60 delivered with the reducer, it sounds great and I was told it will hold up to 310bhp and i can have any color been in my car for about a year and a half I defo felt a throttle response after fitting this.

looks bloody huge that filter
-
I think mine is the same as Nino's as mine looks the same size. You can really hear it sucking in the air! It is an absolutely amazing filter. If you get one it is best to leave a cold air feed on it, or the slandered 1.8t snorkel, especially if your car is remapped!
-
hi what size neck is the Ramair please
-
80mm if i remember correctly
-
thank you Nino
-
If ur interested dom - black and red s2000 filters on ebay if you search for 'blueprint s2000 filter', since Ramair is on topic u can also buy 70mm & 80mm direct fit Ramair cones

would be good to see how these compare to the S200o filter in terms of flow

Get the 80mm cold air feed pipe off them too. I just got some off them for mine the other day. R-Tech recommended me to use the cold air feed to the filter
-
going to see if I can still use the standard air feed if I cant I will get one when I can afford one

Will this fit straight on to my standard pipe from old air box?
-
to the maf
-
Okay, so I don't need no additional pipes? Just cone itself?
-
if it don't come with a reducer you will need to get one

What engine code? AUM/AUQ will need a small filter for the SAI pipework that goes into the side of the airbox
-
thought the standard maf is 70mm

Looks good mate  When I spoke to RAMAIR, they said it is best to not have the cold air induction pipe touching the end of the filter because it is only directed onto one small part of the filter. Instead. have it a couple of inches away so the cold air can better flow round the filter.
-
there is no room I will take it off

Just cut the snorkel back a little bit, Or replace it with some ducting hose.
-
I put a bracket underneath the filter to keep it steady
