Title: Boost whistle

My 150PD has a cool whistle when on boost. I love it. Reminds me of the 20vT I had in the mk2 back in the day.

You can't really heard it with the windows up, but drop them an inch and you can easily. I also seem to have a almost dump valve like noise when I let off between shifts.

Is this normal? obviously I don't have a DV on my TDI!

perfectly normal, theyre loud! put a decat on to get a nice sound on gearchange

mine does make a almost dump valve noise when shifting in 1st and 2nd. it's about time I gave the exhaust some attention and de-catted it with a nice full system

Steve's 150 used to that with a full turbo back system. You could hear it in the next county  :grin:

I thought the De-Cat pipes are illegal for Diesels tho?

My 130 whistles when I give her some power too lol!!

I told you they weren't in the other thread  :whistle:

My MK4 passed every MOT with the decat; one MOT tester even commented on the quality of the pipe

God dammit Rhyso hahaha! I thought you meant the decat was the Illegal one!! Hahaha my bad! There are some half decent looking ones for around 100 on Ebay but weren't sure...

Where as that one is Brand New lol?

Guessing the cobra is normally the better option?
