Hi chaps recently scrapped a car.
I'm usually a good judge of character and the chap from the reputable scrap merchant came across as sincere and I didn't think much of it when he asked if I had my drivers license for ID. I let him take a photograph of it with the completed V5.
In retrospect, I feel a bit uneasy having a photo of my DL somewhere out of my control.
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the matter.

they all do it I believe.

well thats 2 million copys of your details on photocards being sold as we speak

I think they are required to get identification nowadays due to the amount of stolen scrap metal in circulation.

It would be more of a concern if he didn't take any I.D. from you.
