Title: Advice needed!h
Post by: Lgjennings on 12 April 2014, 13:11
Hi I've got a Golf Mk4 and want to upgrade the sounds system. Anyone got any pointers to what brands and models I should be looking at? I want a clearer but louder sound from my system. Looking to change all the door speakers and maybe put a sub and 6x9s in the boot. Any advice welcome.
Thanks Liam

Decent components at the front and a sub in the boot all amped up.

What's your budget?

Ditch the 6x9 idea and put a set of Gladen Audio 8inch components in and a Gladen RS subwoofer all powered off a Gladen/Mosconi amp ;)

Definitely don't go for 6x9s. Waste of time and money plus look horrible.

As said, a set of components up front and a sub in the boot will see you right. From personal experience I've found JBL amps and subs to be of good power for the money, and I had Infinity components which were solid for the money.

^Agree with above, don't go back to the 1990's by installing 6x9's pal !
