Hi all need help please. I'm going to gti international this year and just got my mk5 gti silver but nothing has been done. I need to lower it but struggling with money. Easy and cheap and good way to do it and what to buy. I know you will all say go for expensive but money is tight so please help.
And I need help in what to buy and please explain like drop links will I need to replace them bushes will I need to replace the works please explain

Cheapest and quickest way is to get a set of second hand lowering spring, will be around £100.
If you can stretch your budget to a few hundred, get some anti roll bars as well, no end of people will tell you what an improvement to handling they make.
Even cheaper still is to get loads of scrap metal and weight your car down.
Perhaps don't do the last one.

I have just bought some Eibach Sportline springs for mine from AMD for £156 delivered , seems pretty good value and being fitted today actually so looking forward to the difference.

Most people go for Eibach or H&R springs..

A common suspension overhaul is Eibach Sportline springs with Koni FSD dampers, much cheaper than coil overs, retains most of the stock ride comfort but better overall handling in corners and straight line.
