Title: Electric Windows Don't Work... Well Almost....
Post by: lhasa-green on 11 April 2014, 18:25
Hey Dudes,

I have a 1999 MK4 VW Golf.
It has electric windows and an electric sunroof.
All worked well until a few months ago where none of them work at all now.
That is using the internal buttons.
HOWEVER, if I use the drivers key in the door lock of the driver's door,
and turn and hold right - ALL windows will pull down.
(turn left and all windows roll back up).

So they do work under some conditions.
Anyone know how I can fix this so the internal buttons start working again?

Many thanks,
Mark

Thanks,
checked the fuses, and they are all good.

When you replaced fuse 14 - would the key method still work to open/close the windows?
