Title: Removing adhesive carbon fibre
Post by: markos on 11 April 2014, 08:15
Hey, just wondered if anyone had any experience in this and what it might potentially do to the paintwork if I attempt it?

Basically, the previous owner of my mk5 decided to put some adhesive carbon fibre on the b door pillar and I would like to remove it... But I'm not sure what's beneath this and don't want to risk removing any original paintwork. Any ideas?!

Thanks

I would try heating the area with a hair dryer and see if the wrap lifts off easily at a corner.

This^^^
A soft clean plastic spatula like the ones you get with P40 can also help you lift it once you have a corner up
