Title: Electric Windows Don't Work... Well Almost...
Post by: lhasa-green on 10 April 2014, 23:13
Hey All,

I have a 1999 MK4 VW Golf.
It has electric windows and an electric sunroof.
All worked well until a few months ago where none of them work at all now.
That is using the internal buttons.
HOWEVER, if I use the drivers key in the door lock of the driver's door,
and turn and hold right - ALL windows will pull down.
(turn left and all windows roll back up).

So they do work under some conditions.
Anyone know how I can fix this so the internal buttons start working again?

Many thanks,
Mark

No idea mate. But that setting you have with the key in the door. That is done via Vagcom. I don't know what to suggest with using the windows internally, but I'm sure one of the guys who know there stuff will comment, don't worry. Very helpful guys on here!
