Title: Priory Park Hull Lapiz blue demo R
Post by: Neil gti on 09 April 2014, 22:00
Had a call from the dealer the other day to say that they've got a demo car Lapiz Blue, Dsg, Carbon Leather! Pro Nav pretty much all singing n dancing, popped down today for a nosey and a sit in it, such a nice place to be and a big step up from the mk6 IMO,
I can see what all the fuss is about now
Got a test drive booked for Tues but gonna ring tomorrow  and bring it forward to Saturday as I'm too busy on Tues now, looks so much better in the flesh than on pics, it's got too many doors for me  would of liked too see a three door
Anyway I'll be having a proper go in it on Saturday so will update then

Look forward to reading your update.  Just waiting for my local dealer's demo to come in.

Agree, it looks tons better in the flesh.  Had the chance to have a good look at one recently when it parked next to my mk6, and was impressed.  Pics don't do it justice, much more aggressive looking in reality.  Had a brief chat with the owner and asked him a few questions about handling etc, but oddly he didn't seem to know much at all about the car he'd just spent £35k on, except he seemed at pains to stress how much he'd spent on the various options.

Enjoy the test drive

Neil after 3,000 miles in a month in the one I have on loan i am a convert and the grip is addictive, i really need to get a luggage net for the boot when the proper one arrives, complete dsg convert as just suits the car

You'll notice its missing a bit of mid range compared to what you have been used to

Hopefully Revo will sort that out. And add 50-60hp
