Title: washer bottle position

How comes the washer bottle on the gti (and possibly smaller engined golfs) have their water bottles on the right near the air filter, whilst on the R cupra S3 there on the other side like before?

Just curious, no major point other than could it be turbo related, their the same block after all?

Hmmm... Possibly or intercooler, but I find it strange that they would go to the trouble of moving it on the gti in first place, am I right in assuming it was to the left on the mk5 and 6 as it was with my leons?

Fairly certain it was on the left of the engine compartment in the 5 and 6.
