Title: Spluttering

My 1999 gti turbo I've noticed the last couple days in 2nd and 3rd holds back splutters and drives through it when I ragg it it's fine just happens when I drive normal and today cut out twice while driving started straight back up and drove

Any ideas

Post by: matty james on 04 April 2014, 18:54: had those symptons twice -1st time it was faulty maf ,2nd time was a faulty fuel pump which died not long after .

Post by: james2 on 04 April 2014, 19:31: yeah get it scanned and might as well clean the throttle body out with carb cleaner and a cloth, hold the throttle open with the engine turned off and wipe all the black crap off and also the butterfly.

what scanner did you use, i got a cheap one off ebay.
