Hi guys where is the best place to get poly bush front engine mount.
Have looked on the net and not finding out.
-
Why do you want a polybush mount?
Corrado G60 rear engine and Golf2 1.3 rear gearbox, with a GTI front one should see you right.
-
What are the differences between the g60/1.3/ and gti ones?
I have found the vibe ones £160
-
The most movement is in the front mount. All you can get now is a vibratechnics mount. Yonks ago there was allsorts
-
Thanks gambit, they are the only ones I can find.
A lot of money but I need one.
-
Solid mounts are great on track, but G60 mounts are thicker than stock engine mounts due to torque values hence cheap as chips compared to vibratechnics solid Alu ones.
Plus car feels better going over pot holes with flex rubber items
-
So let me get this rite. G60 mounts would be a direct replacment and would be firmer over standard gti ones?
-
Yes rubber is denser to handle the torque from a G60 which is on of the first upgrades you would do on an 8V or 16V for a firmer ride think of it as a longer lasting mount that will out live the car's life
-
Like Gambit said, why do you want one?
The G60 and 16v ones are the same too.
Unless the car is going on a track stick to rubber, otherwise opt for the solid one, loads of em' on eBay. Your teeth won't like you for it though.

Thanks for the help guys.
Just got myself a full set of the vibritechnics ones, secondhand but the two rear ones have not been fitted.
£150 I thought that was a bargain.

Ain't it just.
