Title: Sticker question
Post by: th3_f15t on 02 April 2014, 07:36
I'm able to do most things on my Golf, but putting the etched glass stickers on my rear window has got me baffled. I've removed the front protective bit but there seems to be no glue or anything to stick the letters onto the glass. Do I need to use a heat gun to transfer them onto the glass or something?

Perhaps I should just give up doing things to my car...

Has the sticker been reverse cut i.e. to stick to the inside of the glass?

Hahaha, the sticker goes on the outside. The 'protective bit' is the application tape.

Ah, I thought it was placed on the inside. I shall use one of the other 2 stickers remaining to try and get it on.

Perhaps I really should just give up modifying cars, managed to break quite a bit lately!

This reminds me of the time a friend stuck a screen protector the wrong side and he said I spent loads of money and it keeps bubbling up and not sticking right? Of course I looked at it a pissed myself, he had not even taken the other side off the hard plastic card. The hard plastic had another peel which was the sticky side  :lipsrsealed:

This post has found it's way into the Thread of the Month list. I don't know whether to feel honoured or humiliated to be honest, more the latter.
