Title: Anni front splitter
Post by: XMC1980 on 01 April 2014, 17:05
I've just spent my life on my car and almost dead happy just need to sort out the anniversary front lower splitter.

It was savagely sprayed in silver and is now flaking in places and this is the only bit that let's the car down tbh.

Was it black first? Is it easy to paint? If not I don't want to pay £150 to get it done and don't want to do a halfrauds at £7 either?

Maybe a R32 front bumper?

Opinions please

if you do the prep it should be no more than 75 quid to paint it IMO

Just have a go yourself. It's all a learning curve and if you do it well you've only paid 30odd quid. There are plenty of guides about.

Tbh 150 is steep I'd think leave it at a shop and get them to do it as and when. 75 quid seems about right tbh. But I'd deffo rub it right down myself with 180 and get a thick 2 pack primer put on at a shop. Plus 2 pack lacquer is so much better than aerosol.
