Title: Removing gear linkage clips
Post by: jamiesgolf on 01 April 2014, 10:45
Hi, can't work out how you get these clips off as I don't want to force anything. I have a 2.0l gti 8v. Mine look like these http://www.ebay.ie/sch/Gear-Linkages-/174104/i.html.

Thanks for any help!

Your link doesn't work, do you mean the clips with the springs the three prongs?

Easy enough gust pry the clip out (carefully!) with a small flat screwdrive and it will un-clip make sure to keep hold as these can be lost easily

There are two different types of clip I think, a picture of yours would be useful.

Hi, yeah I've got them off now. It was the type where you just pull it off, there was no clip. Thanks for your help anyway
