Post by: sharki786 on 01 April 2014, 10:15
Could someone confirm is the drives shafts are same on a 8v gti, 16 & vr6??
as i have some from gsf (gkn driveshafts) they were for my 8v gti 96 but when we tried to put them on his 16v (n reg) the spline was too small.
could anyone confirm?

As far as im aware all the driveshafts are the same on the 5 stud vehicles and only differ on the 4 stud models eg. 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, TDI, Cabrio.

Gsf the tossers gave the wrong ones (over 2 yrs ago) they gave me a set of drive shafts that are small. So im taking it as they are not for any gti or vr

Or a mk2 ?
GSF and Ecp have sold me drive train, braking and engine parts for mk2's as Mk3 parts.
Very annoying

That's why I started oemandmore.co.uk (and as nobody cared for the Mk3 model!), I am adding parts all the time and can supply nearly a full car now! (anyone like airfix models but full sized?)

Well there isn't many people who have taken the chance to put the Mk3 at the front of a business (It different to when I trained as one but I'm enjoying it, I just wish people wouldn't use gsf or ecp so much! )
