Hi,
Couldn't see another thread for lead times. Apologies if i've missed it.
I ordered a Mk7 GTD through a lease company. They confirmed on 15th Jan they had requested an allocation slot.
I've still not got a confirmed build date yet...I'm told 'possibly wk16' was previously wk14.
Is this normal or should I be concerned? Never had a new car before but considering the estimated date to dealer was a month today and in fact they haven't even got a build slot confirmed yet is a bit worrying.

You aren't going to see the car in a month if they haven't confirmed build yet. Unless of course build is all in schedule and they just haven't bothered telling you.
-
They usually confirm the build week 4 weeks before so unless they haven't told you then I doubt it will be week 16 as we are just going into week 14..
Do you have the order number? If so contact VW. I tweeted them and they've gave me a provisional date which I believe more than what the dealers told me.

Can't say i'm very happy about it.
Did question the lead times on ordring and was told 28/4 was quite realistic and cars were arriving as expected.
I'll give it till next Friday before I contact them again and put a bit more pressure on. I realise it won't do much but hopefully if there are futher delays, they'll make sure mine isn't one of them.

My wife ordered her GTD at the end of February and was given a estimated build date of approximately 16-20 weeks. Her order was officially placed at the factory on 12 March and yesterday I received a confirmed build date commencing 20 April (wk 16?) with delivery/handover estimated for mid May
