hi there iv just brought a mk2 golf but the passenger door is stuck shut, is there any way to remove the dor card with the door shut?

The fixings that you can't get to with the door closed are the four little screws, two on each side of the door card. If you have taken the internal door pull, internal handle surround, window winder, mirror adjuster knob, door mirror internal trim and the lock pin all off and you are prepared to sacrifice the side fixing screws, you can force it off.

Even if you damage the door card, replacements cost next to nothing. At least you'll be in.

I reckon if you remove all but the side ones you will get enough room at the top to release the door without taking the whole card off. The side ones are around 6" down from the top so you should be able to wiggle it to see the internal door hand mech and work the door open keeping the door card intact

You will also need to sacrifice the door membrane.
