Title: In car entertainment limits on insurance ?

On my insurance details it says that I.c.e is insured upto £750 ,the factory fitted  equipment in my car would cost a lot more than that to replace,would the insurer pay for like for like replacement.?

Would have thought that is for any additional items over and above the factory fitted equipment  :huh:

I.e if you fitted a sub or amp etc

I was hoping that but I better check as the sat nav systems from VW are stupidly expensive .

Hi there,

Generally you are only covered up to a certain amount, you can look into calling your insurance company to see if they can offer any additional add ons to extend it or include it into your modifications.

If it is an optional extra that was fitted from standard then most insurance companies cover this automatically. i.e optional extra sat nav.

Cheers its standard factory fit equipment,i have read the small print and they cover all factory fitted equipment  :smiley:
