Title: Waste of money?
Post by: Mcwill on 21 March 2014, 21:22
Just fitted g60 front arches and now looking at buying some new rear ones from vw heritage.
At £89 each is it worth it? Just wanted to no what people's thoughts are.

Thanks

It's the only place you'll get them from unless you have an account with classic parts in Germany.

But go on their eBay site, as I think they're £75ish instead.

Scratch that. Just checked......£89.20.

If you plan on visiting any show this year, they normally do a little discount on the day if they are in attendance.

It was ebay where i was looking at them. I think it says there is 8mm difference between standard and g60, so would it be that noticeable.
Also would it help with fitting bigger wheels? Was looking at fitting 16x8s

Some 15" wheels do look lost in G60's as the fronts are something like 15mm, and like you say, the rears are 8mm wider.

16x8's would be good, but offset depending. With the wider arches you can fit a decent tyre instead of stretching and being mr illegal too..........f**k the popo innit!
