Post by: nickellis1 on 21 March 2014, 12:27
Hi this came fitted in my mk5 gt tdi and I have no clue what model it is? The reason I'm asking is because it's getting replaced with a pioneer double din, so when I come to list Ill be putting all the correct info down

If im not mistaken that would be an RNS510, prob a C model or newer as it has the star button, have a look in the for sale section and see what other people are list for info on the system, prob the most important is what model it is i.e a, b, c, ect when you remove it there is a sticker on it and its the last letter of the code

What you have there is a RNS 510 Version "H".

What will the Pioneer do that your RNS510 won't? It seems odd changing a top spec OEM unit for an aftermarket one. Bluetooth and ipod/USB connections can be added to you RNS if that's why you are swapping.
