Title: Bonnet stay
Post by: Mcwill on 20 March 2014, 14:49
Hi guys,
just removed the gas strut bonnet lifters as it was making the bonnet not sit flush so putting the old rod back but can't get it to sit rite?
Dose it push in the grommet towards the lights or towards the window?

Thanks

Are bonnet gas struts something you can buy or a mod? I have a few boot ones lying around.

A poor mod! they damage the inner wing tops, and bonnet never seems to fit properly...

Yeah totally agree, the amount of people who said about my bonnet sticking up.
Looks loads better now.

Put the rod in straight (towards the headlight) and then gently move it in the direction of the slam panel.

Bonnet struts will bow the bonnet.
