So heres my 1st query after introducing my face in the newbie section
Whats the preference on front pads? In the BMW world we normally go for Pagid or Texstar?
Also when I stick the reg number into ECP (to take advantage of the offer codes), I get 2 different types of front pad in each make. i.e. 2 Pagids, 2 eigers and 2 textars.
Just bought a 2006 GTI on the 06 and I know the front discs would enjoy the company of some fresh pads.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Brembo or Ferodo (I sell them both)
I guess your 312mm PR 1LJ,1LL and I sell Ferodo sl pads £35 (P&p is £4), brembo £40 (free post) and Ferodo premium £41 (free post), who needs a discount code?

What would be OEM? Brembo or Ferodo? Must admit, I've not bought Ferodo for years.
I'll measure up the discs on Sunday when I pick it up see if they are 312's. A set of Pagids at £25.90 is sounding promising.

http://brakeparts.co.uk/img/BPS/BPS2818.jpg - Gives the sizes for pads for 288/312mm front discs.
The OEM brand is ATE, they make the pads for VW. The Brembo fronts may be a bit more cash, but well worth it if you're intending to use all the horse power of your engine.
I used www.oemandmore.co.uk (bonebradley's shop) and got to admit the customer service was the best I've ever had.
