Post by: GtiTurbo 79 on 17 March 2014, 16:44
I've just put a forge 007p on my standard 1.8t I'm after a induction filter now so was wondering what's a good one to get I want to spend around £50-60 for one not really bothered if it's second hand just need some advice I've also heard I should here by forge 007p more with a induction filter instead of just putting a pipercross panel filter in the standard air box cheers

Pipercross foam panel filter will be fine, induction kit will suffer heat soak but is louder.

I am a huge fan of Pipercross myself (and they are the only brand I stock despite being able to get hold of all major's)

Nine are £92 for a standard induction kit or for an enclosed Viper kit £210

Either that Ramair kit (if it's right for your vehicle) or save a few more ££ and go Pipercross

You can get the cheaper ones on ebay but you need to run a better air filter.

Why dont you just get the honda s2k air filter with a reducer? Your prob looking at around 25 for both. I fitted that and now i can hear my forge 007 go of. Before when i had standard air box with the standar turbo inlet pipe, i couldnt hear it. Now with the s2k filter and a forge tip i defo hear it

For the reducer i offered him £11  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271290092832?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

go to gsf or go to eurocar parts and ask for the honda s2k filter. I got the green one and that aint oily.

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Honda_S2000_2.0_1999/p/car-parts/car-service-parts/regular-service/air-filter/?50260019J&1&e5941b5cdd3f9030612e10d21932f55d497aabab&000008
for some reason its gone to £18 i paid just over 12 from gsf. Please double check if this is the right one.

Also the link i have provided for the reducer is the same one i got on mine. Its a tight fit but lube it with same fairy liquid or water. Dont use oil on it.
