Title: Help! Idle problems at start!

Hi, i got a 2001 VW Golf GTI 2.0 Petrol. When I start it up, it starts fine for about 1 minuite then after that the rev meter begins to slowly drop below 10 and start shaking and then eventually turn off! If i keep the rev at like 20-30 or higher it shakes very slightly and does not turn off, only at idle and stop. I dont know what the problem is, please help. Also the car has a small oil leak coming from the front of the vehicle (dont know where exactly). Help!
