Hi all I've got a mk4 1.8t and I'm just starting to upgrade things on it it's standard 1.8t I've just bought a forge 007p for it I'm just wondering what filter to put on it next so do I go for a pipercross panel filter or go for a a induction kit any help will be much appreciated

Depends if your looking for sound/looks or want to keep the small percentage performance gains.
I would go i duction kit for the sound but its your choice :)

All depends on what you want form the car the panel filter will give the subtle look and sound but the cold air induction kit I have makes the car wake the dead friends have likened it to a jumbo jet overtaking them on the motorway and the turbo spool noise and recirc valve noise is awesome
There are some with the opposite opinion that it makes it sound chavvy so all down to what you like

That's what I want the sound so what's the best induction kit to go for ???? I've heard that you don't really here the forge 007p until you put a filter on ??

the standard plastic airbox traps all the noise, get an induction on to let it out!
I would have one that sits in your engine bay rather than near the wheels in case you drive through a big puddle.
Depends if you see people on the path walking next to a big puddle and can't resist the temptation.

Pipercross foam panel filter is a good choice.

Pipercross foam panel filter is a good choice.
+ 1 on this combined with an R32 dsg intake upgrade is a subtle little modification

So what's the best induction to but then ??
