Hi y'all...already have a N/A 1.8 mk4 but wanting to complete 1.8t conversion, just wondering if anyone might know what engine code would be best to use...it's fly by wire type throttle so would rule out the AGU...any suggestions chaps..? Taaahh!!

As far as block goes aum and auq are identical by all accounts it's just the tune on the ecu that is different and are both drive by wire I still think an agu would drop in quite nicely but need to change the pedal to a cable one but there are less sensors to worry about
Going a different way if money isn't a big issue go for the bam engine From audi tt with the ko4 turbo but not sure on how easy hard it'd be to plumb in
Just remember to go from n/a to turbo the down pipe will need changing the ecu and key transponder (may not need some say can be tuned out) driveshafts may need doing and you will need the engine loom
A whole donor car is your best bet
