Title: brake upgrade
Post by: dfaz98 on 13 March 2014, 19:26
Hi ppl i have a mk4 golf gt tdi 2003. A want some red porsche callipers for front and am uncertain which to get. i hear that boxster s rears are no good as pistons are to small. is it possible to use boxtser s fronts with 323 lcr discs and suitable adaptors as thats the size i would like and also could i use porsche cayenne rear callipers as an alternative. thanks

I fitted the LCR Brembo to my MK 4, originally it had 312's on it, the difference from standard to Brembo 323mm set up is fantastic, I had to change wheels also because of size of the callipers.

Can't help with the Porsche callipers but why complete things, just get Brembo's off the LCR

Thats road am going to go down as its a direct fit. going to get sum off ebay and get them refurbed with some drilled mintex discs. it was more of the look than anything else. And a couldnt agree more its far to complicated and a headache. Issues with pad coverage on disc etc etc. Thanks.
