Title: Starter button
Post by: JoeGTI on 13 March 2014, 09:45
hi guys,
Just a heads up for anyone with keyless... I noticed a few days ago that the lettering on "ENGINE" was flaking a bit! The 2 "N"'s have a little bit of silver chipping off them and the button feels a little rough under the finger.

Anyway I have the car in today for the suspension mounts issue and the dealers are ordering me a new button too. Not a biggie but I suspect if I got the problem others will eventually see it too.

I've less than 5k miles. I don't think I'd have noticed only i felt it catching my finger.

Here's a poor pic of it.

I don't think so. Possibly with a micro fibre cloth when wiping the dash but nothing else I can think of.
The dealers had no issue with ordering a new one anyway.

Do they do different ones and is it easy to change? Would be cool to have a red one
