Has anyone put their standard or PP's car on the rollers yet? If so - what did it produce?
I've heard stories of them delivering a good dose more power and torque and quoted by VW and I'm dying to see a dyno plot of this .... :whistle:

Variables include one pipercross panel and a full tank of BP Ultimate...

Thin black line obviously - 243bhp.
Thick black line is with BCS powervalve and map on top.
then of course there is Millteks DSG mk7 (mines manual if it makes a difference).
Thin black line again, thick black is with Milltek non res system.

Wow! 232-243bhp & 280-283lb/ft torque before the mods .... The torque really is a rather healthy surplus over the 258lb/ft torque that VW quotes ....
Was / is yours or Millteks cars "standard" or the Performance Pack'd versions? Even more impressive if they don't have the PP!

Both cars are PP I believe and the difference in the peak of power may have been caused by the DSG

The absolute power reading from a single rolling road is irrelevant. Those before figures could easily have been 220-230 and 260lb/ft on another rolling road and could have been just as valid...
But the higher figures are nice to have for the willy-waving outside McDonalds (or whatever) :grin:
In the end a rolling road should only be used for comparisons (as above a before and after mod scenario) to see what (hopefully) positive effect any modification has had...
The most important thing is the area beneath the curve... the highest peak power figure you can generate is not the best way forward... you even hear them talking about "driveability" in F1.
In this case there are some nice improvements with the mods but it looks like there could be a noticeable flat spot as well - certainly on the thick black line at about 3500... I would hope they would map that out... or maybe it wasn't that obvious...

My take is that the Wastegate opens up at 5000rpm to preserve the turbo from early death, thus the fall in power and most noticeably in torque after the 5000 range. Thats why the idea of a Swap to a Audi S3 IHI turbo, wich is bigger and should take the pressure all the way to the redline with the help from some SW tweaks.

The true purpose of my dyno runs was just that, to see the difference in modifications. I do not notice a flat spot, but I am not entirely pleased with how the power falls off at the end which I believe to be an air flow problem, soon to be resolved by the arrival of my induction kit and then back in for retuning. I will even get us another comparison dyno run :smiley:

Which kit did you buy? Have a link?
From what I've researched cai's do not have any effect on the 5000rpm power drop. This is backed up by Jp from Jp performance. The more likely reason is the wastegate killing the boost to protect the turbo.

Maybe but my exhaust is a bit more restrictive than millteks so I need all the help I can get, the milltek stg2 has less of a gap between the comparable lines but hold the power much longer, the dyno is on millteks website I think if you want to look it's also on here somewhere.
In regards to the pipercross it's on preorder from FR&R, again it's the only one on Google, sorry on my phone.
