Post by: Andys Work In Progress on 11 March 2014, 23:26
Doe's anybody know where i can get a full set of ready made hard brake lines for my gti 16v (at resonable cost not main dealer price), found a company on ebay but they say there kit only fits a 1.4. Doe's anybody know the differance between the two. Thanks Andy.

The rear beam hardlines will be different for starters as the 1.4 has drums, also it'll have a rear brake regulator which most 16v's won't as they'll have ABS.

edit: Early mk3 GTIs came with seperate rear pressure  regulators as well as a simplified ABS system.

Looking like DIY is the only option. Joy.
