Hi guys, a strange on this.
Bought a new overhead light for the 1.8t as the old one wasnt working. Its the one with the sunroof control.
So i put it in today and for some reason, the lights all came on and wouldnt turn off despite pressing the buttons on/off. The sunroof control worked fine. So i took it out to have a look and couldnt see anything so tried it again. This time none of the lights came on and the sunroof control stopped working.
Following this, the central locking stopped working and none of the windows are now working either. All caput.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

Try replacing fuse 14 in the fuse box on the drivers side of the dashboard
That one fuse controls all of them. I suspect you blew it when tinkering. Did this myself loads of times :grin:

Not the fuses, perhaps a relay? Anyone know which one?

Still looking for a solution to this guys if anyone has got any ideas?
Have checked all fuses, definitely not those. Doesnt seem to be any issues with the wiring. I detached the battery for an hour as i heard this resets the CCM which may of been the problem. It wasnt. As before the last thing i can think of is it could be a relay but without replacing it (and knowing which one) theres know way of knowing.
Trying to avoid taking it to the garage because it will be something simple and no doubt costly. Any other ideas?

Not sure if you can get fault codes for the window/lock modules. i would think that you do.
I would scan it if you can.

Did you just look at the fuse or test it with a multi meter??
Most of the time they look ok to the naked eye but actually aren't
