Any views please had a full timing belt kit fitted 2007. The car has only done 14k cheers.

yes, you need to drive more. 14k in 7 years? get a push bike :p
7 years is when i would start to think about changing the cam belt though... i bought a mk3 2 years ago, it's cam belt was 9 years old, only done about 20k but since parts are so cheap i just changed it

so 7 years ago,regardless of the 14k mileage i would look to replace it in due course 7 years is a long time tbh

its only 3 years overdue why not wait another 3 :laugh:

It is due every 4 years no matter what the mileage they degrade over time, never worth the risk.
Don't forget to replace the water pump as well.

If it's sitting around for long periods of time it degrades quicker as it keeps it's shape more then cracks as it goes round.
Tyres do the same.
